I thought he would make it as well. I had no idea that he had any desires to return as a coach.

Had a tryout. I’m not sure he was healthy

CFL rosters are limited in the number of guys they can take from USA. The roster is 45 guys and only 20 of them can be from the USA. 21 must be from Canada and the remaining are QB’s. Odd rules but a guy with a history of injuries throughout his career, it doesn’t surprise me he didn’t get a shot which is really unfortunate. Thought he had some real ability to get a shot at a roster spot.

He might have used up his allotted years. I don’t remember the details, but you can only be a ga at the same school for a limited time

I liked him the minute he transferred to Purdue. I have confidence he will be an awesome grad assistant.
