Based on all the information we have, Caleb wanted to go to Cal and his handlers were pitching Purdue. Purdue was first in on the recruiting process as well. MSU comes out of left field as a "compromise" decision. If all true, it's clear Swanigan wanted no part of the Purdue program.

Painter's inability to sell himself, the program, style of play and any potential development into the NBA will continue to keep his absolute ceiling at a Sweet 16 level - and that's with really really good talent. This program continues to be light years away from the big boys and will be into the forseeable future. People change very rarely, and when they do, very little.
