Stream of First Europe Game

The thing about Waddell that most don’t realize, when Purdue had NBA scouts in they really liked Waddell’s overall game. He has size, quickness and knows basketball. Then he tore his ACL. That is a long road back.

Perhaps this is a net positive that Morton is hurt and Waddell gets more minutes and exposure. We have 3 years of tape on Morton and the only thing consistent is being an inconsistent offensive threat.

CMP love him some guys he can rely on to do the things he wants done.
We shall see what he does now with other options.
One can only hope he changes it up and looks to the other options and let’s them make some mistakes to learn while in games, as opposed to playing the same options that don’t provide much except for doing what he wants done, which doesn’t seem to be successful come postseason.

Wish the coach could read this post of yours!

I guess the only takeaway I would have from a trip like this is if one of the guys who we hoped was going to help us had limited success throughout the trip and if there was any indication from Painter that they weren't part of a core rotation,

For me the biggest relief was Heide's big game following a poor showing in the first game. Probably an over reaction on my part but seeing the stats from the first game made me wonder if he was capable of being a key contributor. If nothing else yesterday's game shows he still has a chance to help us.

Anything I see or read about returning players doesn't move the needle much for me. Our last game was 5 months ago. I have pretty good feel for what guys like Smith, Loyer, Furst and Gillis are capable of and the results of one or two games versus bad teams won't change my perceptions.

Heide's jumper form reminds me of Jimmy Chitwood from Hoosiers.

We'll find out if Mr. Heide is a "nightmare"......

Smith pace & control of game looks great. TKR has a nice game, but geez hit your FTs
Gillis, Colvin & Heide stroked the 3, think TKR hit one. Will be interesting to see %
Of course competition is juco like.

Brian’s brother Greg has a podcast and they talked about Purdue and our depth.

They bring up an interesting point, with our depth and seeing how aggressive people have been so far, who keeps it up when we have Zach in the rotation?

I guess it is a good problem to have.

This game wasn't worth playing. 61-12 or something at half, Chase Martin played significant 2nd quarter minutes.

Oh wow! Maybe he should refrain from doing things like that this early in the year.

He is beginning to be the fan favorite to get this team over the hump this season.
Don’t tell him what to do Peter. Stay in your lane brah. (TIC if it wasn’t obvious)
