Not sue if anyone else was watching the Florida St. vs Miss St game last night. Near the end of the game Fl. St had their 7'4" center in the game and I was watching him play and could not stop thinking how AJ and Haas would destroy him down low. All of the sudden the two guys calling the game brought Purdue up and started talking very highly of this years team. Then they brought up the BPI poll and wanted to make sure everyone at home knew it was not a fluke that PU was ranked number one. Not that big of a deal for some, but it was nice to here two guys go on-and-on about Purdue during a FL St vs Miss St game. People are starting to notice and I found myself in an odd place watching. It was kind of like hell yes!

And this is exactly why rankings matter. You get tons of free pub and people who otherwise wouldn't be following Purdue hear all about us (including potential recruits). Keep the train rolling boys!

Undeserving of another thread, but here is SI's power ranking. They have us as 10 behind UNC and ahead of X (justified by Paige's injury and Maryland win).
