though he's not the typical 5 star, his measurables are below average, his athleticism is more below average. he's predominately floor bound and we're going to get at least 2 years out of him. I'd frankly be pretty surprised if he's one and done, though if he scouts well and gets good feedback I have no problem with him starting his career after a year, just don't think it's all that likely.

part of the reason AJ's back is because he hasn't shown enough off the block given that he's not exactly a banger at the NBA level so he's (in my opinion) back because he wants to do some work off the elbows as a passer and maybe a dribble into a dropstep move.

in no way do I think AJ graduating after next year will be good for Purdue, NOT AT ALL, but I think it will be good for Swanigan. and I'm cool with that, zero problems with kids coming to Purdue to accelerate their skills and then capitalize on them ASAP. nobody'd have a problem with a kid dropping out of Krannert if he got a 7 figure offer.

The offense is going to be interesting with Swanigan. He looks more like a Euro 5 (Gasol) or like the Peck kid we had a few years ago then anything else. Not highly athletic, solid mid-range game, can use either hand. We could almost run the Grizzlies style of offense with Swanigan playing the Gasol role and Hammons in the Zebo role. I really don't know what to expect. Athletic 4's are going to be difficult for him to guard and the game isn't played with 2 true post players much anymore. Not saying it's bad but it will be interesting. I was slightly surprised in his 5-star rating just because of his lack of athleticism after watching some highlights. Those can be misleading though.

I think most of his highlights are slightly outdated. From what I've heard/read, he's lost even more weight, and he looks far more agile than he does in many of his videos.

I know they often don't mean much, but if he is rated, what number would he get? 4 or 5?

Have you been incarcerated or something?? Have you been tied to a rack in the Dreadfort, being tortured day and night??

He's been a 5* since he was like 7. Top 10 in the country, McD's AA, IN Mr. BBall, recruited by every Blue-blood in the land.

Oh, my bad, it's just Purdue Alumnus. The legendary 2014-15 season dunce-cap/asshat of G&B.

Good to hear. Really interested to see him play. Should be an exciting season with so many pieces Painter can use.
