Sharing some quick notes from spring practice this evening.
The new roster has all of the cornerbacks and safeties now listed as defensive backs. This is due to the cross training aspect the coaches talked about last month.
Tyrone Tracy has been working with the running backs all four practices, and the new roster now lists him there.
Caleb Lahey also does not appear on the roster. He was not expected to have a large role, but Purdue had only five RB’s working out right now.
Paul Piferi was seen without pads, but still doing some individual drills with his teammates.
Ben Furtney has been working with the tight ends as Graham Harrell’s offense does not utilize the FB much.
After being seen by the trainers last week, Sulaiman Kpaka was not at practice today. That will be something to watch.
Isaiah Nichols and Prince Boyd Jr were also not participating. We have not seen either DL yet this spring.
