Sparty..

For those wondering, Northeastern is not good. 5-5 coming into the game.

Get ready to hear how awful the Big Ten is all year long.

Frankly, it isn't that good this year. I think Wisconsin, IU, and us are all likely top-25 tournament teams. Not sure any of the three are top 10 teams though. Probably 3-4 more teams will play themselves in. A bunch of teams will have decent records going into conference play but haven't really beaten anyone of consequence. You could've said that about us before yesterday. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. If we are good we will prove it by distinguishing ourselves from the pack.

Put Maryland in that group too.

I always pull for the Big Ten out of Conference and in the Tourney.......the exceptions of course are IU and Mich State! Conference is down for sure - I like our chances quite a bit.

Look at Minnesota for that example. They have played only one good team in Florida State and got beat. I watched their game against St. John's and was far from impressed. It's essentially like a less talented version of Louisville. Lots of athletes that can run up and down but they don't play good team defense (IMO) and tend to be very scattered on offense.

and Rutgers......don't look now....the Scarlet Knights are 11-1....look at their schedule, although I do think they will improve their conference record from last year.
