How much of a jump is WMU over Illinois ST ? in coaching terms? yes, MAC > MVC. the salary is probably more. Caliber of players and competition is a little better. I guess it's a step upward, but not a big step.

I admit playing in the Cotton Bowl is huge. I just recall a lot of fans wanting Spack as the Purdue coach and saying he'd be great. To me that would have been a bigger step. I guess this would be a natural progression. Coach Kill went from SIU to Northern Ill to Minn. I guess that would be a natural coaching progression for Spack.

Tim Lester would be an excellent hire!!! I thought that in the one year that he worked with our QB's that he did a great job and he is a Western guy!!!
