We are a last-place program right now and I'm not expecting even a top-half recruiting class as long as we are playing by the rules.

I do expect a well-researched class that helps us build depth, that is full of players who will develop and contribute in 2 to 3 years and grow into solid players.

The depth we are building at LB, OL and DL looks very positive to me -- and something that has been completely lacking since before Hope got here. Turner flipping will hurt; I think he'll turn into a beast. But we held on to Wilson, and it appears he was getting even more pressure to flip.

The juco WRs appear on paper to be what we need and asked for.

We got our number 1 QB target. We got our earliest RB target, even if Vaughn was ranked higher.

Evyn Cooper appears to be a potential monster in the secondary and I've never seen more than a couple posts about him.

For the first time in two seasons we won't be absolutely depending on 18-year-old true freshmen at key positions all over the field. I think in 2015 the team closes on a few games that they were unable to in 2014 and we see 5 or 6 wins, with 6 to 8 on tap for the next year.

As Brian and many others have said: The full story of the 2014 season was not one of success. But the improvement in our ability to even compete -- in every single game -- was undeniable. I think that both continues and ramps up in 2015 and beyond, and to me this looks like a class that's going to contribute to that rise.
