7'1 Center at Iowa State

Saw a post where he's leaving Iowa State and wondered if he might be interested in being a Boiler. The article showed him in Purdue jersey.

Definitely true -- but I prefer & believe the team needs additional difference makers. This kid would add depth, which is ok, I guess??, but I feel that doesn't get us anywhere closer to the goal of a NC type team.

And doesn’t foul. Wichita state just had their 7 footer enter the portal that fits that criteria. Bucknell And Nevada’s centers hit the portal and those 2 are more scoring threats but also very good too.

Another is the Kid from South Dakota state who avg 23 and 12 but I doubt we go that route.

Just really depends if these guys want tons of money or want to win. Never know the priority I suppose, which I can’t say I’d know at that age either 😂

I don't believe that he has. Cluff puts up big numbers. He had at least one 20/20 game this year and several close. It appears that if we don't go after him, we'll likely be going against him. I've seen several BT teams linked to him. All of these top names, I would say, are definite starters tho and would limit DJs minutes considerably for next yr.

I was saying I like the idea of the 23 and 12 kid because I’m greedy (and that’s why I’m not the coach 😂). But that’s why I said I don’t think we will go for that!

The kid from Wichita state is intriguing. Avg more blocked shots than fouls (1.9 v 1.6), 9 boards a game, 10 ppg on 75% (!!!!) from the field in 30 min and has one year left. Started his career at FSU. He is NOT a great FT shooter though.

Bucknell center, Williamson or Nevada center, Davidson are my other two intriguing ones. Davidson may ask for $$$ tho.

I hope coach wants a rim protector who can rebound. Or an athletic 4 like the 4 from Iowa State who can add rebounding and rim protection from the 4 while TKR stays at the 5. No guarantee DJ will make it a full year.....But if he does, he solves a lot of issues.

He hasnt committed yet! Just glad that paint and staff are adjusting and dealing with the portal even during the tourney and possibly (hopefully) us playing on Sunday too!

Yeah not sure. Maybe he can go watch that? I’d assume Purdue stays in Indy if we win tonight…so maybe he flies into Indy and hangs out with the team?

It says he’s visiting from Sunday to Monday so who knows. But glad to see Purdue being in the mix of a top guy like this and doing it during the torurney.
