I was impressed with how we played against IU. Lots of improvements across the board. And I've never been a "Painter hater" and over reactor when things got bad. But, while I see Wed as a positive step in terms of this team unlocking it's enormous potential, I'm still cautiously optimistic. Iowa didn't have their best player for most of the game. IU is not that good. I watched them in the non-conference, felt we should roll them.

In many ways, this week feels a lot like when the Colts beat a battered Denver Broncos team. Impressive win on the road. But people forget that Manning was hurt and the Broncos limped into the playoffs. Still a good win though, but we all saw what happened the following week.

I hope this Boilermaker team builds on this past week, because I do believe it's exceptionally talented, and can pose matchup problems for most opponents. They have simply been way to inconsistent all year, so my hope is that we consistently see them play to their potential going forward.
