so , the next game is Iowa....

Similar schedule last year. I don't get it. Hope this game gives the Boiler some confidence. Carver-Hawkeye has always been a tough place for the Boilers.

iowa had to rally to beat rutgers. altho we can lose to anyone if we play poorly, i just dont see us losing to iowa.

They already have confidence. It might give them a little more toughness if they can play as well or better in their second game vs. the Hawkeyes (aka most-hated rivals).

Let's just be thankful we play them twice no matter when it is. This game might be tougher than people think but certainly one we should win if we play well.

IMO --- it WILL be tougher, but it's still a game Purdue can win, and one Purdue has to win to be a serious B1G contender.

Actually, I think the schedule does Purdue a favor on this one by giving us Iowa twice while that young team is still getting its legs under it. The Hawkeyes will probably be better down the stretch, but they'll be off our schedule by then.

Conversely, the schedule gives Purdue two games against MSU later in the season when the Spartans will undoubtedly be better, so I guess it balances out.

Boilers 74
Hawkeyes 71

Agree rgarlitz. I'd rather play them earlier than after they get some more games under their belt. I think they have the potential to improve.

They might stay with us for a half but we pull away . Double digit victory and like opening game this is a game you pound inexperience team. Worry about them next year

I can assure you if the team takes your approach that none of us will be happy about it.

Nobody is overlooking them from team standpoint. They will be a very good team next year. This year, they are young and going to take lumps. Bury this team again. We won't be up 30 but not seeing Illinois game last season here. We win double digits and move on. Focus should be strong with one game in like 10 days.

Minny playing MSU again as well. We take care of the ball, and hit open 3s, we win.
I haven't looked at stats lately, but earlier in the season, the team was consistently hitting 3's at a higher rate in road games than at home. Let's hope that is still the trend.

Enough of the dramatics, not going into Pauley and playing Walton with John coaching from the bench. Go into Iowa and pound them , get out with a W and start a roll.
