So if Brohm leaves, where do we go?

There is no need to worry until Jeff Brohm or Mike Bobinski announces he will no longer be coaching at Purdue.
When an announcement is made, worrying is pointless. I think now is definitely the appropriate time to worry. Commence worrying, my fellow Boilers.

Just to play the game (I think he sticks) Seen a few reports that based on the commitment from the brass, facilities, and expectations, Purdue may be the best opening on the market.

If Purdue needs a new coach, I’d target:

Neal Brown
Mike Houston
Nick Holt-(as long as we can keep key assistants)

Let's go after Mike Leach, aim high. Bill Clark and Neal Brown are some other names.

Brett Venables.

Milton just gave us a verbal, and people think Brohm is leaving two days later. Petrino getting possibly get let is not is not new news in the Louisville area

Milton had no reason to give his commitment last week if he and his family thought Brohm might not be there. He's from Louisville, had Louisville in his top 5 and could have waited until after the season to see how things shake out. Brohm will stay at Purdue.

UL fans think Milton follows CJB to Louisville.

Problem:

Milton and his family asked CJB if he would be at Purdue.

Brohm must have told them he would be, or he wouldn’t have committed.

So if Brohm goes back on his word and leaves for UL, you think Milton is going to follow him?

Whether he follows him or not, if Brohm leaves Purdue, Milton won't be a boiler.

According to the Louisville insiders they are confident something is in the works for the following reasons:

The athletic department is in a huge hole financially & cant afford to pay Petrino’s $14 million buyout without a reason approved by the board.
If they just waited until after the season it would have saved them a couple million, but they are already preparing for their next hire.
They feel Brohm is the only person worth the investment to pay the buyout & offer a big deal since they feel he is a lifer there.
They also would not be making huge financial decisions while in debt without a reasonable belief they have Brohm.

It makes sense from a Louisville perspective to go in the hole more now to climb out in the future & Brohm can probably ask for whatever he wants? So I would guess there is truth to what the Louisville people are reporting?

There is no change in the Petrino buyout now or after the season.

Now Brohms buyout decreases December 6th...but now Bobinski has three weeks to get a new contract approved, if it comes to that

Wow. If UL fans believe that, they are desperate. So in order to get out of the financial big hole which would get only bigger when they pay the buyout, they are gonna dig the hole even deeper by offering Brohm a buttload of money?

So if Brohm did leave will Purdue fans trash him, or will they thank him for leaving the program better than he found it?

In the presser today our AD said he would not interfere with any current coach until regular season was over. He probably hasn't even talked to Jeffs agent. But the Tyras and the Brohms are big Trinity High School buddies for a long time and UL buddies also so who knows whats been talked about

I truly believe there is no way he could have put together this prospective recruiting class w/o their assurance that he would be here. I believe he is having the time of his life directing this football program. (sans yesterday)

Marginally better.
He did well at Houston and decently at A&M (their expectation are a bit crazy there)

Started roughy at Arizona but he’s won two good ones in a row.

Would probably stay at Purdue for the long haul and would recruit well

TAMU does have high expectations, but that's part of being in a crazed FB state, and being in the SEC. However, TAMU gets pretty good recruits (by nature of my first two points), and he really under-achieved with that talent. My son goes to school there so I've been following them closely for the past 2 years.

Wouldlove Leach....winner every where he has been......did anyone catch the fake mustache interview he did after the game? Hilarious...Youtube it...
