I think Sindelar has the lock at this point, he definitely has the experience and I think we'll need it at the position with a fluid O-line. What do you think he needs to work on? He's got the arm strength, he's big and he'll know the playbook, all pluses.
A buddy of mine was at the Colts camp in Anderson years ago when Painter (prototypical NFL QB) was running sets at the same time as Manning. He was amazed, said Curtis ran the plays identical (same timing, motion, result) that Peyton did, he couldn't tell them apart it was so close. And yet we know one of them is a hall-of-famer and the other one wasn't.
One of the things I thought that David brought to the table was that burning desire to win (or mortal fear of losing) that "pushed" us to some wins. I'd like to see that a little more in Sindelar. Not that it isn't there, just want to see him confidently take the reins and guide the O with some fire and passion.
