I believe he's setting the offense with a pass first and shoot if it breaks down or late in the clock. Why is it down? Is it the pressure up the court tiring him? Is it some of the big guards he has faced? Is it the lack of wide open shots without Zach? ( Hasn't hurt Loyers %). Or is it just a little slump that will pass?

excellentI think ppl will have to start playing more drop coverage against the PnR with him and TKR cuz TKR is ABUSING teams right now…according to KenPom, he’s the 8th best player in the country right now.
If that happens, smith will get those open looks he got last year with Edey. We’ve also had more balanced scoring than last year (or at least it’s starting to pick up) so Bearden doesn’t have to shoot it AS much…even though I’d like him to. Interested to see how it looks the rest of 2024.

At least in the Marquette game, he was forcing shots quite a bit, some off one leg, some over bigs. It was a bad game. I'm not sure what happened against Marshall because I couldn't watch it. I think water will somewhat find its level, but would expect his % to be down from last year because of not having open spaces due to Zach.
