THe SECCG meant very little to UGA in the grand scheme of things. It was championship or bust this year and didn’t necessarily warrant us emptying the tank 2 games before the championship IMO. The only advantage to winning the SECCG would have been to get Bama out of the top 4 but with Okie St. losing and a coach less for a time ND next in line there’s no garuntee a 2 loss Bama team still doesn’t make the playoff.

great post, like the Mich game, when UGA came out of the tunnel you could see they were there for business. With both teams the size and speed of the front 7's were impressive

Not sure about Washington from a true player standpoint...they might be better, but, they have long struggled to maintain any consistent relevance, and, I just don't think it has the cache that USC does (or, even Oregon).

USC does have a chance to become relevant, and, consistently relevant...and, given the lack of many schools to challenge them out there, they could become an annual potential CFP team in they just dominate.

not saying they will be better but I think they get back to where they were when Peterson was there. Will be interesting to see what a defensive minded coach does at Oregon.

They should be better, but, they should have been better as well...I just don't know if they will be able to be better to the point of being able to be nationally relevant whereas I think USC has that chance...as does Oregon (due to NIL). They may be able to rise up on occasion (as Michigan did this year, or PSU or MSU may do on occasion in the B1G East, but, OSU is THE team and USC stands to be THE team out there).

UGA didn't do well in their 1st encounter. I know they supposedly have a great defense and all, but yawn...🥱,as long as Saban and his posse keep recruiting NFL talent at every position, Alabama will be hard to overcome.
Ironic how they get 5* players at nearly every position. I heard news that Saban is concerned about NIL and with no controls, he might be outbid for top flight talent. It will likely be Oregon that purchases players with Phil Knight (Nike) buying a Natty Title away from Saban. I'm sure it is all perfectly legit. 😉

Till NCAA can figure a way to get parity in the NCAA game, it will be Alabama = NY Yankees then another big donor program like Oregon = LA Dodgers.
After that will be farm teams to supplement those two programs with portal transfers. Wonder what the landscape of college football will look like in 1-5 years from now?
