...........................early in the Minny game..........but it didn't work!!!.LOL!!!!!!!I guess that makes him just about 1-20 on game planning................rinse and repeat!

Shoop is the worst OC I have ever seen - dating back to his time with the Chicago Bears! I can't count how many times Minnesota had NO Safeties in the middle of the field and we're throwing 2 yard passes to the sidelines for interceptions. The few times we did throw down the middle we had easy 20 yard pickups. This is another reason I HATE the no huddle - a QB gets no experience looking over the defense and reasoning things out for himself, instead he is looking to sideline for "instructions".

We need to get in the huddle, call a play, look over the defense and allow the QB to check into another play depending on the defensive alignment. It's not that difficult to check where the safeties are playing, determining if it's man/zone and figuring out where the ball should go.

we very seldom throw over the middle, and I hate that. The TE is hardly used which is a great safety valve for the QB. There are no seem patterns, little deep slants and these are easier to connect on then those down and outs which are hard to connect on. Also get tired of all short horizontal passing, what ever happened to the "zig" route that Vinny made a living on?

I agree with your assessment. Nothing puts the fear of God into a Safety more than a WR running a deep post - it's the toughest pass to defend and if the safety goes for a pick he risks getting burned for 6.
