Teams that lose to EMU at home are beatable.
So are teams that lose by a thousand.
Minor correction : we are not playing like the team that lost to EMU. I hope that continues but we still have the same roster. We played great today, but we can still play poorly next week. I'd like to see the team continue to improve one game at a time.We are no where near the team that lost to EMU. If we had to play Northwestern, EMU, and Missouri again we would probably win all three. With this coaching staff we will get better every week.

The EMU loss is definitely going to come back and haunt us. We will wish we had that win two months from now.Minor correction : we are not playing like the team that lost to EMU. Well, we said the same thing about Rutgers last year. However, we beat IU, IL and IA to end the year strong. The EMU loss is definitely going to come back and haunt us. We will wish we had that win two months from now.
Actually he has so much equity from the National Championship that the fans are giving him a pass from what I can see.I can't wait to see Frosty at the presser next week if they lose to us. Their fans will have their fangs out.
We are still going bowling. You don't think Brohm can win 5 of the last 8 games with Illinois, IU, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Iowa in there? Hell, we may pick off someone like MSU or Wisky, too.The EMU loss is definitely going to come back and haunt us. We will wish we had that win two months from now.
We do seem to have a knack for upsetting OSU, but those teams weren't coached by Urban Meyer. Danny Hope let one slip away at OSU in Meyer's first year in Columbus. He had that game basically won.How about doing what Iowa did to OSU last year!!!!
It couldn't get better than that.
Yeah, we laid a ton of eggs last year throughout the B10 season. Hopefully they have turned a corner. I think having Blough solidified as the guy helps a lot with the overall confidence of the team. He is playing so well right now.Minor correction : we are not playing like the team that lost to EMU. I hope that continues but we still have the same roster. Exactly. What's he supposed to say? They are going to get skull raped by an unproven division foe on homecoming? If the Purdue players want to use that as bulletin board material than go ahead and do that. But to me it's whatever. He probably got asked a question in the presser about the mental state of the team and their confidence level and all that. So he's looking ahead to a game that is, yes, winnable. We are 1-3 and lost to EMU. It's absolutely winnable. So was Troy and Colorado, but looking ahead, this game is winnable.

If we are favored by three points, doesn't that mean it is a winnable game for Nebraska? I don't understand what is wrong with what he said.Frost can think that all he wants; Vegas has Purdue as a road favorite. 3 points
Purdue’s first road game of the year, heading Lincoln and we’re favored, if our D continues to play inspired Purdue will win this by 10 points.
Wow! I guess I shouldn’t be surprised so I will change that to yeah, that’s what I expected. Nebraska fan and the Nebraska media are unable to do their own research and realize that the Purdue team coming into their stadium might be 1-3 But have every reason to be possibly 4-0. But to help them feel better about their sad state of affairs they take a different approach. Ha ha Ha ha ha, that’s all they have going for them in that sad state other than corn harvest
That writer is clueless. Purdue lost 3 games by 8 points, including NW in the first game of the season and by 3 in a gut-punch of a loss to potent Missouri. Purdue really beat itself in the first two games with very untimely personal fouls and TOs, which is somewhat expected for a young defense. Nebraska is a younger team overall.
why is that disrespect? it is a home game. they are 0-3. and purdue is good, but hardly unbeatable. if purdue wins it will be very close.disrespect
disrespect
Hank, you a wrestling fan? last year you guys got a great wrestler from out here in the Lehigh Valley named Mike Labriola. He was a 2 time state champ, 1 time runner up, 4 medals, 44-0 sr yr. and had 166 career wins. Enjoy watching him.I'm sorry guys, and I tread lightly on your board, but who among you doesn't believe this is a winnable game by either team. I know it's fun to look for bulletin board material, but with all due respect, it is a winnable game for us as well. We will all have to wait until Saturday to see who wins the winnable game. BTW, we have great respect for your team, and Frost called your coach one of the best in the country today in his presser.
You guys have a fabulous freshman player, and you will see on Saturday, that we have one to be proud of as well.
I have no problem with what Frost said. I am sure our coach said the same thing to the players, just not at a presser.I'm sorry guys, and I tread lightly on your board, but who among you doesn't believe this is a winnable game by either team. Meh. I don’t see anything there that’s false. If the team uses it for motivation, good for them. But this is absolutely a game NEB can win next week.“We’ve got a chance to get reset next week,” Frost said. “This is a really good (Michigan) team we played. We get a game that we can win next week.
“We’ve got to find a way to get better. We’re not ready to beat a team like (Michigan) yet, but the key word is yet. Because I know where it’s going. Certainly it isn’t happening as quickly as I would like, but I’m kind of excited because it’s not going to get worse than this. It’s only up from here.”
I love wrestling, and coached club since forever, and high school for almost 20 years. Just a fan presently. Did you get to see any of Mikey's matches from the US open in Vegas this summer? For basically his first freestyle competition, I was impressed. I love Mikey, and think he will be a podium guy this year.Hank, you a wrestling fan? last year you guys got a great wrestler from out here in the Lehigh Valley named Mike Labriola. He definitely is under pressure, but not with a 'your job is on the line' mentality. Frost got a 7 year contract, and everyone knew when he was hired that this was going to take some time to get fixed. We have a few real douche nozzle fans in Lincoln, who talk out of their asses, but for the most part, I think we understand this is a project.I have no problem with what Frost said. Plus, I would say Frost is under a LOT more pressure to pull out a win than Brohm is. We as Purdue fans know this year is going to be filled with ups and downs and are still rebuilding. Frost isn't necessarily in the same boat, so his seat will get warm way before Brohm does.
If we play like we did against BC, then I expect very good things for Purdue and a long day for Nebraska, but that is why we play the game.
