"The crown jewel of El Salvador's aggressive anti-crime strategy — a mega-prison where visitation, recreation and education are not allowed — became the latest tool in U.S. President Donald Trump's crackdown on immigration on Sunday, when hundreds of immigrants facing deportation were transferred there.

"Each cell can fit 65 to 70 prisoners. CECOT prisoners do not receive visits and are never allowed outdoors. The prison does not offer workshops or educational programs to prepare them to return to society after their sentences."

And look at their haircuts . . . HILARIOUS!

It gets even better: "They live in overcrowded cells and rival gang members fight to the death over food and water."

Toss in a few AR's and AK's with extra clips. That should solve the overcrowding situation🤢🤑

The open border will cost this country for years. Just removing these 200+ costs the taxpayers 6 million to hold them in jail for a year. I’ve been barking on this the whole Biden time…before people started pulling their heads out. Nothing remotely as destructive to the citizens of the USA during my lifetime as the open border

6 million is a bargain compared to providing them services while allowing them to continue terrorizing the country.

Very true, but people need to understand that not only were there costs in the states resulting from the open border, but an attempt to fix what should never have happened costs the taxpayers AGAIN! True to form…those that supported Biden AND the laughing hyena double down on their stupid vote

That is where the AK's and AR's solve problems cheaply.

knives would be cheaper and only need washed. Actually, I have a desire to not kill anyone, but to have them pay for their existence or die on their own in THIS country for those in prison in this country. Prisons cost the taxpayers a LOT in the USA. This group of animals will no doubt be treated more similar to how other countries treat their people...even with the understanding that Biden and Harris (or the real people that used the autosign) had no desire to prevent them from causing the harm they did. We do not and will not know the magnitude of the disaster of the open border during our lifetime, but no doubt someone wanted a fundamental change to this country!

Meh. Don't care. Not even a little.

And I'm a Catholic who's not eating meat today.....
my wife who isn't Catholic has given up chocolate and alcohol for Lent. Her father who has done a few mission trips is like many protestants and in some cases Catholics who don't really know much about it ( catholicism ) other than what he has been told...which is the usual misunderstandings... ;)

I know. You're a complete and total hypocrite. A Catholic who doesn't live the life Christ says you should. This isn't news.
I believe there are Catholic teachings and there is dogma where the teachings do not change, but the dogma might specifically...geographically, as Pope Francis has demonstrated. That line is quite blurred and is hard to dissect at times. If the understandings were easy and 20th century eyes all understood the same things there wouldn't be so many denominations. That said, they do agree with the important things. You said Bonefish was a "complete" and "total" hypocrite. I'm not sure how to take "complete" and "total" relative to things, but assume you have something in mind?

"The important things"? Like murder is wrong? Do Catholics believe that? Is there some disagreement among denominations on that point? Compassion for the poor, sick, outcasts of society? Lots of controversy about what Jesus stood for across the Christian faith?

Just keep typing. You can convince yourself of anything.

So, wanting there to be consequences for someone breaking the law is an anti-Catholic value?

Yes, murder is wrong, but the death penalty is acceptable punishment. I'm a big fan.

Compassion for the poor, sick, outcasts? Not my problem. When I lived in downtown Chicago, if I gave a $1 to every panhandler, I would have needed a second job.

"Murder" is wrong under Catholicism since "they" are against capital punishment. Murder needs context and not just someone stating something is murder. Compassion...well that too can have different definitions of what is "compassion". There is a hell of a lot of different opinions inside Christianity. The life of Christ "listed" only includes roughly 30 days if you were not aware. Do you think direct understanding is obtained on all...or most ,or just the important things? Rhetorical, unless you want to venture there. ;)

At the end of John it is mentioned that , if you were not aware-

"But there are also many other things that Jesus did; if every one of them were written down, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written."

which should tell you that there are many things not listed in the bible and so context of several passages are important and all this leads to different denominations as I said...and as I said...the different denominations share the important things.

Do I agree with all things Catholic? No. Do I agree with all things Protestant? No, that is impossible since Protestants disagree amongst themselves.

No. Lol. Whenever you start with "so" it's always a question with an obvious answer.......it makes you feel normal. Your other intent is to avoid dealing with the statement or question in the post. You're a Catholic who, according to regular statements on your part, seems proud to espouse very anti Christian views. Just own it. You always seem so happy to tell us about those views. Why do you constantly deflect questions or statements about those views after you spout them? Because you can't justify the tough guy positions you claim to have with your so called Catholicism. So you wimp out.

Yeah because the poor, sick, and outcast are ALL panhandlers. That's how you reconcile it with your own conscience and your Christianity. Problem is the second makes no such distinctions.

Whatever helps you sleep with yourself.

At least you're consistent. All that preaching and you never got to the point.

Jesus' positions we read in the Bible are pretty clear. You can nitpick to try and win an argument all you want. Doesn't change what I'm talking about. He was crystal clear about how the less fortunate should be treated.

Murder needs context? The 6th commandment is pretty clear.

Bob and weave.

Just so I'm clear on your position:
1) You're upset that Trump is deporting illegals? Yes or no?

2) You believe that it's un-Catholic of me to be in favor of consequences for law breakers? Yes or no?

I always had to laugh when these people held up a sign “ I will work for food” and McDonalds a half block away was hiring.

You've obviously never lived in a large city.

Do I feel bad for the poor, sick or outcast? That depends. Is their situation of their own poor decision-making?
Do I want to help them? I think some of my tax money goes towards that.

Sorry, but I've got too many other competing priorities.

ROFL. You're doing it again. Ignore my post and put it back on me. You're actually worse than Riveting.

You aren't actually asking questions. You know the answers or you're an idiot.

How many times in the other thread did I say we need to get these people out? This post was a reply to YOU idiot.
I don't. I want them out too.

Why don't you deal with the real issue? Or can't you understand?

Just follow the law. Why is that so hard?

They're going to get removed. Just follow the rules.
And no, I think it's in Catholic of you to be for throwing guns in the cells of these prisoners so they can kill each other. I think it's un-Catholic of you to take joy in the misery of the less fortunate..........and be against spending a few of your precious tax dollars a year to helping those who live under the threat of death everyday. It's un-Catholic for you to be filled with so much hate for the children of your god who are of a different color or religion or ethnicity than you are.

Hell I'M more Christian than you are and I'm a non believer.

I lived in Chicago. Lived in Charlotte. What does that have to do with it? Does their mere presence get you all lathered up? As I mentioned earlier, why do you seem to think all poor people are like panhandlers?

Have you not known any regular people that don't have a college education with a house, two cars and a retirement account? That punch a clock at the grocery store or work at the gas station? They live week to week........and a health crisis can cause them to get kicked out of their rental trailer? They're not panhandlers. They're poor and they've got no way out. They live in the rural areas of red states and are being made irrelevant by the trumps and musks of the world.

Competing priorities. Says it all. I'm sure one of them is the tithe you give when you go to church. Whenever that is.
