I was sorry to see that the Saints will not be going to the playoffs this year. That division was so weak this year that they should have run away with it. They used to be unstoppable at their home field, but they looked better on the road.

I don't know if I was the only one, but I thought the Saints this year were a lot like watching Purdue the last few years. They have similar colors. They have an OL that could not protect their QB, which happens to be a Purdue great, and let him get sacked or pressured all the time. Their wide receivers dropped passes consistently that should have been caught. They had no pass rush at all on defense to speak of. There defense would get teams in 3rd and long consistently and somehow their opponent would always get that key first down that would then lead to a key scoring play.

I was hoping that Drew would get at least one last time to get to the Super Bowl, but that is starting to look very unlikely with the many holes on that team.

I would love for Purdue's offense to have the weapons the Saints have, including their OC. It just seems like their defense can't stop anybody when it really matters, too.

I've followed the Saints since Drew has been there, their D is bad and didn't address it in the draft again. That Baptiste guy was a reach in the late rounds let alone the 2nd. Losing Sproles was big, he was a safety valve for Drew, their OL has gone downhill too. I would love to have Peyton as our coach even though he's a fan of UM.

Best part about the NFL and the Saints...

They will hold people ACCOUNTABLE. Rob Ryan, bad defense, fired. Purdue sits and waits and hopes we can win a tennis title.

Re: Best part about the NFL and the Saints...

Agreed. But Shawn Peyton needs to step it up or he might be on the firing line next.
