Well on the bright side at least I won’t be hungover on Monday morning.
If he hasn't changed by now with respect to in game adjustments, he ain't changing.
He’s had 17 years. What do you call doing the same thing over and over but expecting a different result?
I think Painter needs to hire a defensive specialist. And I also think St. Peter's is a legit team. They'll be in the FF.

If they have a poor shooting game like they did tonight, UCLA or UNC will steam roll them. One of those teams will have a guy go off for 25 points probably.
Like they were going to lose to Murray State and Kentucky? Sorry but if were honest Purdue's super stud was viagra less tonight. This loss is mostly on him because the Peacock's neutered him.
I believe strongly that he will be back and that he should be back. But you have to admit, there has been discussion that he might leave. I place the probability that he is back at 99.9%, but sometimes very long shots hit.
This is 1,000% on Painter. I don't give a shit if Ivey had the worst game ever. We had more than enough talent to beat them without Ivey. But Painter played IT for God knows what reason. Made ZERO defensive adjustments.
Just in the last minute he should have fouled with 30 seconds left to have more than one possession. But no, we let St Peters run 15 seconds off the clock. It was the worst coaching job I've ever seen. It should be embarrassing for Painter.
Unless he is dying to live in Europe or visit the exciting collection of cities having a G League franchise he should be back.
For goodness sakes. Edey ain't going anywhere. He played soft against a 6'8" center tonight where he should have dominated.
Edey isn't going anywhere. Plodding 7 footers haven't been a priority in the NBA since the mid-90s. I guess he could transfer or play overseas, but that seems unlikely (not that I have any inside knowledge).
He hired a defensive coordinator this year. What more of a specialist do you need ?
No worries. We've got the Swiss Berger coming next year. Plenty of 'shroom for him.

This loss was surprising to me, but it shouldn't have been because this is what this team has done all year. For whatever reason this team always took two steps forward, one step back. Fans can vent and point fingers at whoever pointing fingers at makes you feel better about, but in the end it didn't work like we had all hoped. Nothing we can do to change it either. Based on the high expectations it was a disappointing season, probably much more so to the players and coaches than we can all imagine to have 29 wins with nothing other than a Sweet 16 and a bowl of Cheez Its to show for it.
I will always support the guys representing Purdue. I hope after the dust settles everyone else will take the high road and do the same. It was a joy to watch Trevion, Sasha, Eric, and likely Jaden all improve over there time here. The end result wasn't what we wanted, but they maintained a culture of winning over their tenures that will be left for other guys to build on. In the big picture you can't really ask for more than that. This program is still in a great position to keep contending for B1G titles and be in position to make a run in march for years to come. 95% of D1 basketball teams can't say that, so I'd caution to be careful what you wish for and just enjoy the journey this program is on right now.
At the end of the day, this loss reminds me that we all probably take basketball a little too seriously. There are much greater things in life to put our hope in, and although sobering, last night is another reminder of what is really important.

Actually they've been loose for three games and that's why they've won. I'm not sure right now that lose is in their vocabulary
