Every P5 (yes that includes two PAC-12 teams) are now ranked in top 100 of Sagarin computer rankings…. Except Purdue. And we are 115. That includes 4 MAC and 4 D2 schools ahead of us. I don’t understand what metric bobinski is seeing that would make him believe there is any progress towards acceptable performance on the field.

The metric that Bobinski is seeing is money. We sold out almost every game this year. The stands were packed, even with the play on the field, so we made even more with concessions. We are able to get even more money with the new tv rights.

What he also sees that he has 1 more year left on his contract left. I thought he would care about his legacy. Obviously, he doesn't. He will ride out into the sunset with a golden parachute with our football team in shambles.

I have been one of the most vocal posters of firing Walters for the last 2 months. You can see my posts during game discussions, threads, comments, etc., I am reserved now to the fact that I really think Walters is staying. Bobinski has made no comments during this entire season to address anything about the program.

We could have let Walters go during the bye week. Why keep him around any longer? We don't need him to coach the Bucket game. We are going to get demolished in that game anyway. His 2 year audition is almost complete. I think we can see how well he recruits and coaches. If that is your job performance in a normal 9-5 job, then you would be shown the door.

We have lost most of our recruiting class for next year. The early signing period is next Wednesday. The Transfer Portal starts in 2 weeks. Anyone think we are going to open up our checkbooks? Of couse, we won't. We will get hand me downs. No legitimate player is going to want to come into this mess, and I understand that. If we would have fired Walters earlier, than we could have shown potential players that we are serious about our program. Tulsa fired Kevin Wilson already with a better record than Walters.

Boiler fans, I think we are going to have to resign ourselves that next season should just be an asterisk. If we keep Walters, I honestly don't think we should even field a team. Of course, we have to do this to get the tv money. I hope the fans show their displeasure by season tickets and single game sales plummeting next year. That is the only thing that the athletic department will understand.

If CRW is kept, I fully expect a mass exodus of players and even more recruits not coming here. There may not be enough players to even field a team.

Bobo has a choice, he can either leave next year being the one that saves the football program (granted he caused this issue in the first place) or be the one that destroyed it.. which if he keeps CRW, he clearly doesn't care.

This entire situation is hands down worse that what happened with Hazell and as a whole, it is the worst in school history.

As I have said, if indinia doesn't hang 70+ on us, they should be embarrassed.

Said it in another thread, maybe we're the Cubs of college football. Go to the game to party. I haven't been to game in a long time, but something is drawing the crowd and it's not the Purdue product on the field.
