Oh, wow! I'm sorry to hear that. He's my age. Played on some great Purdue teams in the mid-to-late 90s along with Brad Miller, Alan Eldridge, Chad Austin, Brian Cardinal, and Mike Robinson.

wow...way too young. One of the smoothest strokes prior to his ankle injury. I read quickly but never recalled reading about any family???

Yep. Many fans spoke of that injury like many speak of the Hummel injury now in terms of what could have been for that team.

Way too young. Thoughts and prayers to all his friends and family.

That’s sad. Being from Valparaiso I hated him when he hit those 3s in the 94 final game to beat us. But then loved him as a boiler. RIP

I went to high school with Jaraan and was there for his big shot in the state finals when he was just a sophomore. Was fun to watch him play for Purdue too. Nice guy. Very sad.

Very saddened to hear of this - I concur with my fellow Boilers.....way too soon for him to pass, and he was a pleasure to watch on those Gene Keady teams of the late 90's.....

Kenneth Lowe was a great player in his own right---something of a Chris Kramer before Chris Kramer. I believe Kenny Lowe was the first Purdue player to be named B1G defensive player of the year twice.

I was also there when Cornell came along. That class with Robinson and (I think) Cardinal was incredible. Always hated that the ankle injury kind of derailed his career, especially after such a strong start to his career.
