Rondale Moore

Did he just commit to Texas tonight?

He committed at the end of June. After his commitment, in July, two 6'00 + top 100 WRs committed to Texas. Then Texas looked bad against Maryland and Hermans blamed his players. I would be surprised if he jumped ship. I also read something that said CJB's dad coaches at Trinity where Rondale plays.

It is also obvious that Purdue's biggest weakness right now is WR. There is a lot of time for the fastest incoming recruit and he would THRIVE in CJBs system. Purdue was a front runner for him, so if he left, Purdue would be a very good choice. He would likely start as a true freshman and could break some record.

This would be a heck of a signing. If this kid was 5 inches taller, he would be a top 10 player in the nation and a lock at a top 15 pick. He may still go in the first round. He could really help turn around a program like Purdue. Show what they can do with high 4 star talent. If CJB can start landing the high 4 star talent and get away from 2 star and low 3 star, the turnaround will be faster (and it already appears to be headed forward at light speed).

If Holmes improves as the season goes and next off season and Purdue adds Moore Purdue could have a receiver corp built around Moore, Holmes and Anthrop. Lots of speed to offset the lack of size. Then you have Zico, Wright and Catlett to add depth.

Imagine Brohm landing Kiser, Moore, and Karlaftis in this class.

I am assuming Coach Brohm has already been working on getting him up to campus to try to talk him into coming to Purdue and show him the new sports complex. Has anyone heard when he might be up here? Judging by the number of fans that attended the Ohio game, I expect our next home game against Michigan to be close to, if not a sell out. It should be a great atmosphere for potential recruits to see as long as we make a respectable stand against Michigan.
