I'm on a semi vacation right now, but will add some clarification and perhaps explanation to some of your concerns. First, I think there are coaches out there better than any in the Big. Improving the current situation with them is more improbable than probable. The biggest disappointment in the tourney has to be IU's loss to the Orange with the loaded team IU had in recent history. None of Purdue's losses under Matt equal that.

I suspect your post is in response to Bone's complaints about Purdue's/Painter's early tourney exists. I'm not sure I agree with your bolded statement above, but even if I did, you're stating Painter doesn't own the single most embarrassing exit ever from the NCAA.... are you really using "not the worst ever" to infer some kind of compliment or positive comment towards CMP?

So Matt's making decent money compared to most of the rest of us and he's "11" seasons in. If it were me and I had invested well over that time I'd get a user name on here to publicly give all of you the middle finger salute about one month before season and ride off into the sunset. Absolutely not, but few discuss actual basketball theory and so it becomes comments based upon feelings of what some feel should be happening. 2000 people watch a high school game and 2000 opinions on what they think they saw leave the gym. Most have little understanding. Forums have a degree of that...perhaps better than those watching friends play. We should expect different feelings on things and would not want all to agree with me as that would not offer much insight or incite...

Says a lot about the sad state of Purdue Football that less than two months from the start of the season Boiler fans are on here arguing about the coach of a team that finished the season in the Top 20 nationally and is realistically expected to exceed that this year after losing two starters one of whom went in the NBA draft.

Yes, I think most of us know that the football program has been in the gutter for the better part of the last 5 years and has been mediocre for the better part of the last 10 years. Men's basketball actually has the potential to be very good or great on an annual basis. There are many differing and contrasting opinions on how things should be handled and what players they should take or not take (etc.) because more of us care about it.
