It is sad to hear of Jims passing.I believe Betty Lynn and Ron Howard are the only surviving members of the regular cast from the Andy Griffith Show.It was great to grow up watching good clean, well written TV shows like Andy and Gomer,Leave it to Beaver and Dick Van Dyke. Now TV humor relies too much on the laugh track and most characters aren't interesting. There was only one Gomer Pyle.RIP Jim.
Yes,she was on as the pharmacists niece the first year.I always think of her as the older daughter on Father Knows Best.Did anyone have parents as cheerful as Jim and Margaret Anderson?I think so, Tiger of the regular cast. Elinor Donahue ("Ellie Walker") is still with us, turning 80 this year.
