1. PJ must have a permanent seat next to Jacquil. Hill plays primary minutes Mathias gets secondary minutes at PG. PJ plays in emergencies.

2. Vince becomes a weapon. Not sure if he is playing with cuffs on or is mentally struggling. Vince shows flashes of brilliance then misses 14 consecutive bunnies. Unleash the beast that lies within dude.

3. Davis averages 8 pts a game consistently. Not 16, then goose egg. Right now we have two guys playing a majority of minutes (Davis and whoever is at PG) who are hardly worth dedicating a man to.

4. Swanigan understands the importance of turnovers in Big Ten ball. In high school and AAU turnovers were most likely quickly forgiven as he carried the team in many other facets of the game. Caleb's rebounding has been so impressive, but sometimes negated by the turnovers.

All of these things are not far fetched and attainable to secure 1-4 spot in Big Ten and respectable tournament seed.

You have great points. I think at this point, there needs to be some thought devoted to Zig Ziglar's advice that "if you keep doing what you've been doing, you'll keep getting what you've been getting." We have talent, we have things no other team has, but we also have weaknesses. We must make some adjustments, just like at half-times. Painter has tended to make good adjustments at half-times. We'll see if he can make adjustments at half-time of the season. It has been mentioned how MSU was not much different last year at this time and went to the final four. TIme will tell ....

PJ tonight, 12 points. 4 assists, 2 steals and 0 TO's. Hill, 4 points, 1 assist and 3 TO's. How have you arrived at conclusion in point #1?

Need to look at a much larger sample size. By your logic, no one should be starting after tonight's game. It is plain as day to anyone watching that from a perspective of ball movement, fluidity, and breaking down opposing defense Hill is miles ahead of PJ.

If PJ takes care of the ball and knocks down open threes, I don't see why he can't get minutes. Especially at a time when threes and shooting in general is at such a premium.

PJ never EVER throws the ball to anyone not standing outside of the three point line. Numerous times he won't feed the post or anyone that's not wide open standing 25 feet away from the basket. Did PJ play bad? No absolutely not. But he has to make some tougher passes. He also has to not try and draw fouls every single time he comes inside the three point line. He looks to get fouled rather than score every time. Hill needs to start shooting the ball. Teams are not even thinking about guarding him.

If every one of our starters has a stat line like PJ, we win this game. We lost tonight because of pathetic defense by Stephens, RD, and VE. Leave PJ alone he was the only one that played decently well tonight.

And if PJ is just "throwing it around the perimeter" as you say, how did he get 4 assists to HIll's 1? People are in love with hill for no reason, he doesn't feed the post either, turns the ball over, and fouls a lot on defense.
