What are your thoughts on the remaining games?? Here's the scenario I see, and why couldn't this happen?
at Illinois L we've owned them at their place over the last 6 years, we're due for a loss up there right??
Iowa W This will be a tough tough game, but one you gotta have if you want any shot at tourney. A close win.
Indiana W Gotta hold serve against IU at home this year, some home cookin' and a rowdy crowd will make for a 9 pt win.
at Northwestern W Owe them for the garbage game last year. Hopefully we can shoot better than 28% or whatever we did last year.
Ohio State W What is special about this Ohio St team other than Russell and some athleticism?? Owe these guys too.
at Minnesota L Tough to win up there, they'll be looking for payback after letting the game in Mackey slip.
at Rutgers W A tough one, but no excuse to lose to this program, home or away.
Nebraska W Petteway is a beast, but let him get his 25 and keep Shields and everyone else in check.
at Indiana L The way they shoot, and that home crowd and officiating crew, not much of a shot I'm afraid. Oddly enough our only shot is if TV teddy is reffing because he doesn't let home crowds affect his calls.
Rutgers W A win or Painter should resign.
at Ohio State L Hard to win at Value City for whatever reason, the crowd wont care and will be camped out for spring football game tickets. Can we steal this one??
at Michigan State L Again, just going off of past history, but what is scary about this team other than Dawson.
Illinois W If all above scenarios play out and we don't steal a roadie prior to this game, we'll be 18-12 with a shot at #19 for Octeus' senior day and probably needing one in the tourney.
What do you see differently?? Fwiw, there are obviously a lot of toss up games at home, but we will be favored in all of them most likely. 11-7 gets you in right?? 10-8 and you need at least one in tourney and probably two.
