Rebounding

How do we only win the rebounding margin by 1?
Well, Purdue didn't have a war in the paint...lots of threes adn the few that were missed allowed some longer boards. Vermont has some quickness and drove the ball on the bigs and Purdue wasn't in the best of position. I kinda like the way Vermont played Purdue...they were just undermanned. The ref made it a game of horse and "strength" was detoured somewhat. Purdue will be fine on the boards

I thought that Purdue kind of cruised through the game because they executed so well on offense. While the offense was outstanding to say the least, the defense and rebounding were not nearly as good as they will need to be.

Missing Hammons was a big factor. Purdue really didn't have a physically imposing line-up out there all that much, aside from Haas or Swanigan. Painter went small at the four a lot.

Stephens, Mathias, Cline, and Thompson played a lot of minutes. Those are highly skilled players, but rebounding is not what they do well.
