Really curious to see what Saturday brings.

I hate it when Purdue has a poor football team too. I'm glad you do still go. I think it helps motivate the team when we have a good loud crowd. I only want to point out to some guys that it appears Coach Hazell isn't going anywhere next year. We have a lot of young players who are starting to play good, and these guys need all the fans behind them. Jones is a guy who is going to break all the (Purdue) records for RB's...Yards rushing, yards receiving, TD's etc...and Blough was good enough to be B1G Offensive Player of the Week. And we beat Nebraska, and for those who say Nebraska is sucky, I say losing four games (out of five) on the last play doesn't constitute sucky in my book. I think this team has a lot of really good players who deserve the fans support. That's all I've got to say for now.

I do really wish they would do something about the audio out of the South Endzone scoreboard. It is so painfully loud, I get it, it wants to drown out the crickets, but man. Then playing the band through it. My ears ring until about Sunday afternoon.

I see how ineffective all this boycotting was on getting a new coach. I said he (Hazell) would be back next year and that looks to already be confirmed. Now it's time to get back in the seats in Ross-Ade and support these BOILERS. With or without you in the stands these guys have never rolled over and played dead. They will not stop giving it all they've got until the last second ticks off the clock in each game. You guys staying home are just hurting your team.
You obviously didn't attend the Minnesota game.

But then again, maybe it was our destiny to roll over and get our asses kicked, right?

I bought in the hype when Hazell was hired, kept thinking the team was going to come on and start winning, before each game, 2nd year I thought there was no way the team could be that bad again, the third year I thought that this could be a good year, I am not going to be fooled again, no way will I buy tickets next year . Its like whoever makes the decision on who is the coach, thinks its fine that Purdue is the worst team in football and all us fans are happy as hell to go to games and watch the team lose 99.9 % of the time. Just flat out unbelievable.

And there is no light at the end of this dark tunnel!! We only have 8 commits as of now. Every other BIG school except IU is kicking our azzes in recruiting!!!!!! Three bottom teams besides us have 20 plus recruits on the books. "GROUNDHOG DAY" and the nightmare never ends. I am so pizzed right now.........Joke of and administration we have! PATHETIC!

It is a joke.

Exactly!
And if the OP thinks the "boycotting" has been ineffective well he ain't seen nothing yet. Because that storm hasn't even started. All your seeing now is apathy - which is an absolute program killer.
They dipped into the coffers to cover. $4 mill shortage last season. This year will be worse. And next season? Will we break 10k season tickets and 20k for a game with the current staff.
But keep dreaming...

I was there when I lived in Indiana all the time. I don't have the money to be flying back and forth or else I would be there. None of the boycotters offered me their tickets for free or I would have figured something out.

Please for the love of God 800, stop encouraging these people to attend the games! If you really have attended a lot of games you know, even in good times like the Tiller years, that there are always mopes like the sad sacks that post here bitching the entire game! "C'mon Chaney, throw da bomb!" "Jesus Spack, don't you ever blitz?" "I think Joe would rather be fishin." Just let all these schlong sippers stay home and be miserable. I like choosing my seat, spreading out, and enjoying my time with family and friends. I don't need some cantankerous old fart and his crusty hag wife asking me how I think we'll mess up this week as soon as I hit my seat. I go, tailgate like a rock star, enjoy the game win or lose, not married to the kickoff nor do I always stay til the final snap, tailgate some more, and then might end up being that creepy middle aged guy leerying at your daughter at Harry's. If guys wanna stay away, LET EM STAY AWAY!
