I was torn watching this…in a way I wanted them to win to make it harder to fire Woodson but also lose cuz it’s hilarious they are now 0-5 vs NU in woodson’s tenure and 3-7 in the last 10.No opposing fans are suggesting that CMP get fired as they are in Bloomington.
Galloway has regressed, and what does it say about IU when they play him and Leal at the same time. I thought Woody would be the answer to the IU troubles, but alas, he's not even close to it. They need to bring Alford home because he damn sure couldn't do any worse.I was torn watching this…in a way I wanted them to win to make it harder to fire Woodson but also lose cuz it’s hilarious they are now 0-5 vs NU in woodson’s tenure and 3-7 in the last 10.
I just keep thinking how Galloway burned his Purdue gear when he committed and posted about it and since then, he has won absolutely nothing at all. Can’t even beat NU (he was on the team that beat them his Frosh year barely in 2OT).
Anyway, their schedule is about to get BRUTAL.
I feel like there’s some bad blood between IU and Alford but can’t remember what….Galloway has regressed, and what does it say about IU when they play him and Leal at the same time. I know Steve and know the story. He told them never to call him again because of a situation where he was basically hired to replace Knight and waiting to tell his Iowa players, but certain trustees made an issue and threats about a minority should be hired and they came up with co-coaches in Treloar and Davis.I feel like there’s some bad blood between IU and Alford but can’t remember what….
Galloway his 3rd year is who we all hoped/thought Morton would be. B ur yeah, he regressed last year and is not any better this year…I am assuming his surgery to repair a torn meniscus over the summer had a bit to do with his performance this year, but he IS a fifth year covid senior.
Will be interesting how they do in this next rest tough stretch.
Haven’t met Seminole I presume. No opposing fans are suggesting that CMP get fired as they are in Bloomington.
I disagree aabout Steve, but do agree that Barnhizer's fall was pretty bad...especially with the dental issues he has. They will never be a winner again until they burn down their connection to the RMK past. Alford will never be the answer.
The only guy that gives them their money's worth is Ballo. The rest of the roster is a walking commercial for the possible downside of NIL.
Speaking of the NW game, the fall Barnhizer took at the end was brutal.
And Davis took them to their last final four.I know Steve and know the story. Treloar didn't want that and told them to give it to Davis and Steve was stabbed in the back.
When the fans of my generation are gone, and the delusion with them, IU can finally be a competitive team again. Happiness will not return until the banners cult is no more. There's no inherent reason why IU can't succeed but they will have to swallow some pride and realize those banners aren't drawing anyone in.
Go find a good coach and pair him with good money and there's no reason why they cant be an upper half of the conference team.
They are trying way too hard to replicate what Purdue has done with Painter but Alford is no painter.. hell he is barely an adequate coach. So I hope they hire him, the losing would continue. They will never be a winner again until they burn down their connection to the RMK past. Alford will never be the answer.

Fluke final four run that set expectations way too high and immediately contributed to the fan base thinking they should do that every year 😂And Davis took them to their last final four.
Ballo is the literal definition of “he’s good because he’s tall/bigger than everyone else”. Not much skill there, no real posts moves. His push shot is hilarious and is not good. So bad at FT shooting with the right hand (50%), he switched to left and is still only shooting 60%.They will never be a winner again until they burn down their connection to the RMK past. Alford will never be the answer.

I'm not sure anyone will be the answer for that fan base. It's been 6 coaches since the legendary RMK has left and not one has been adequate for them. They are trying way too hard to replicate what Purdue has done with Painter but Alford is no painter.. hell he is barely an adequate coach. But then again, they are a football school now!
In a way, Cignetti’s success has now “ruined” any “wait and see” grace period for any IU bball coach (and frankly maybe any other coach in ncaa). He showed you can come in an turn a program around in a coach’s first year. (There are other examples of course)I'm not sure anyone will be the answer for that fan base. They are a quick trigger school that believe they have higher standards in basketball. That's just laughable considering they've been mid-bottom dwellers for such a long time. Like one poster stated "get rid of the RMK people" and they might move forward.
Also, the expectations for him moving forward has been tainted and/or he truly can change the history of a bad program. If so, I'll give him credit, but it has to be proven over a time period and/or beating teams they should compete against and not getting punched in the mouth. In a way, Cignetti’s success has now “ruined” any “wait and see” grace period for any IU bball coach (and frankly maybe any other coach in ncaa). Exactly. What happens when he only puts up 6-8 wins each season over the next 3 years? Maybe they’ll still be happy cuz they’ll go to a bowl game consistently and finally win one for the first time since the early 90s?Also, the expectations for him moving forward has been tainted and/or he truly can change the history of a bad program. They haven’t had consistency in being good for 3 decades. They’ve had blips here and there but…IU has not been relevant in basketball for close to 10 years now. All of those we should Fire Painter posters on here should see that we have a good thing going. This could be us if we were dumb enough to do that.
One thing they should pass on to the next generation is just say no to wearing clown pantsThey haven’t had consistency in being good for 3 decades. They’ve had blips here and there but…
they’ve been to the second weekend of the tourney 4 times in 30 years.
3 B1G titles in 30 years.
Making the tourney (on avg) every other year —heavily inflated in 90s.
Kids today know nothing about the good ol days of IU bball and that’s not a draw. Hell, most millennials don’t even know good IU bball so they can’t even pass that on to the next generation
Galloway burned his gear because he wanted to come here and we didn’t have a seat at the table for him. It’s not like he made a bad decision. Or he deserves karma.I was torn watching this…in a way I wanted them to win to make it harder to fire Woodson but also lose cuz it’s hilarious they are now 0-5 vs NU in woodson’s tenure and 3-7 in the last 10.

Something I say every time I see someone wearing Candy Striped pants.at least we're not IU fans...
Davis and Dakich would right the shipI know Steve and know the story. He could have committed earlier than when he did. Not Purdues fault he waited as long as he did.Galloway burned his gear because he wanted to come here and we didn’t have a seat at the table for him. It’s not like he made a bad decision. Or he deserves karma.
Yes they are predicted to lose another 5 in a row. Seat keeps getting warmer. But they will likely let him “retire” at the end of the season, but that announcement may come out sooner than later.
