It's exactly why they continue to look for their next coach. They claim to know it all, but history shows it's true colors. You’re an Indiana fan always acting like a know it all
No one is over looking a team, especially Purdue fans.Purdue fans probably felt the exact same against Little Rock, North Texas, Fairleigh Dickinson, Saint Peters... Crazy things happen when you overlook a team.
This is very trueThe ignore button works great fellas.
Fans don't make hires🤷 I don't have a time machine or I'd go back to 2000 and hire Pitino. It's exactly why they continue to look for their next coach. They claim to know it all, but history shows it's true colors.
Food for thought.Fans don't make hires🤷 I don't have a time machine or I'd go back to 2000 and hire Pitino.
It isn't. But it seems to be a trend. So it is something to look at.No one is over looking a team, especially Purdue fans.
Haven’t you said that a single elimination tournament isn’t a good measure of how good a team is?
Again, I'm sorry you don't like facts are soft.Food for thought.
What you can control is posting sh*t on a rival board during a time period when your team has sucked.
You're right, your "facts" are soft. Now do yourself a favor and go infest another board or maybe spend time with your kids for a change.Again, I'm sorry you don't like facts are soft.
Because 80% of them are not college (IU) grads!!!Indiana fans have arguably the largest internet base. It's kinda wild.
I can see purdue winning by double digits in a close game for much of the game most of the time, but a close game puts pressure on Purdue. Most of the time is not all of the time..I keep seeing 4* star ratings. I'm not saying he isn't good, but we see this talent all the time.
We play within our game and we handle business. I could be completely wrong. I feel we win this by double digits.
The 1-3 for Purdue will handle D better than against those teams in the past and hopefully will bring better individual D as wellPurdue fans probably felt the exact same against Little Rock, North Texas, Fairleigh Dickinson, Saint Peters... Crazy things happen when you overlook a team.
Indeed. On paper they do exceedingly well what we do exceedingly poorly at defending. But the quality they've played is pretty darn bad.Hard team to judge...Looking at thier schedule and they played nobody all year
That'll be a big thing. Perimeter defense really needs to pick up. TKR and Furst aren't rim protectors. Smith, Loyer, Cox, Colvin etc have to be better on the perimeter to minimize the need for a rim protector. High Point isn't a slouch of a team. It is hard to gauge exactly what they can do because they really didn't play anybody. Best win is North Texas and they haven't lost since January 16th. Alan Huss is a good coach too(with Indiana ties even). Purdue can absolutely torch High Point but it will definitely be up to the defense that the perimeter guys play. The 1-3 for Purdue will handle D better than against those teams in the past and hopefully will bring better individual D as well
And he is wrong pretty much all the time. He is in dire need of our acceptance and approval on a whole new level compared to other indinia fans.Ignore this doofus. He constantly points out every time Purdue has slipped on a banana peel on our board then throws his hands up acting confused stating he was just spitting out facts. It’s the one thing he has to resort to since his program is in the shitter and they are once again staring at an underwhelming hire. Be thankful you don’t root for a team that sucks so bad that the highlight of your season is hoping your rival loses in a tourney you have no part of. Be VERY thankful you haven’t had to do that 7 out of the last 9 years.
The grade-A prick I always suspected you were has finally risen to the surface.Purdue fans probably felt the exact same against Little Rock, North Texas, Fairleigh Dickinson, Saint Peters... Crazy things happen when you overlook a team.
Or college grads at all.Because 80% of them are not college (IU) grads!!!
Having no life and the time to create multiple accounts will get you that.Indiana fans have arguably the largest internet base. It's kinda wild.
I'm right with you that their D may not be good enough to prevent Purdue from scoring which will enhance PUrdue's D since it will be set. However, I have mixed thoughts about a high scoring game since that implies more up and down which I don't think Purdue wants. I do think Purdue wants selective pushing the ball like any long defensive board or steal...but not trying to keep a fast pace since I tend to believe that HP is overall quicker and/or faster and Purdue's physical strength is size. I just hope Purdue plays smart and aggressive...Indeed. On paper they do exceedingly well what we do exceedingly poorly at defending. But the quality they've played is pretty darn bad.
I believe the defensive rating they've averaged playing against is in the 300s? It does take skill to average 80+ a game at any level though.
Their defense against that weak competition has been pretty bad so my thought is that Purdue is a team where our defense feeds off our offense. When our guys are scoring big points, the defense becomes acceptable. When our guys struggle to score the defense falls off a cliff.
So my guess is that if Purdue has as easy of a time scoring as the metrics would suggest that our defense will look better than it has down this stretch. Maybe a game where they get 80 but we get high 90s to 100.
Purdue 1-3 are capable of providing more individual D than in the past, but my mention was that those teams in the past should not be as effective with pressing, trapping and overall pressure D as Purdue may have been vulnerable to in the past. That'll be a big thing. Perimeter defense really needs to pick up. TKR and Furst aren't rim protectors. Smith, Loyer, Cox, Colvin etc have to be better on the perimeter to minimize the need for a rim protector. Being on message boards equates to having no life?Having no life and the time to create multiple accounts will get you that.
That isn't the stellar benchmark you think it is there wrongshot.
They are absolutely capable of it. They just have to do it. TKR and Smith will probably have good games(can't afford a 5-18 type of game from Smith). But Cox and Colvin need to step up in the tourney for a deep run unless Smith goes Carsen Edwards this year.Purdue 1-3 are capable of providing more individual D than in the past, but my mention was that those teams in the past should not be as effective with pressing, trapping and overall pressure D as Purdue may have been vulnerable to in the past.
Swing and miss..... Not the context that was used so as usual, you're wrong... wrongshot. Go spend time with your kids...Being on message boards equates to having no life?
Hey it's spring break around here. Coloring pages and applesauce are flying.Swing and miss..... Not the context that was used so as usual, you're wrong... wrongshot. Go spend time with your kids...
It is rare Braden shoots poorly. I saw him do it once in the high school regional...Michigan the other day and another game I can't recall. Certainly he could, but I also suspect he is better than anyone HP has seen as well. Same goes for Trey. Just don't want pressure to get to PUrdue. If they can win two...I think they are real loose the next week...but that is a guess like all do.They are absolutely capable of it. They just have to do it. TKR and Smith will probably have good games(can't afford a 5-18 type of game from Smith). But Cox and Colvin need to step up in the tourney for a deep run unless Smith goes Carsen Edwards this year.
I remember those days .. MANY of them (we had five)Hey it's spring break around here. Coloring pages and applesauce are flying.

How are you in ANY position to speculate on what Purdue fans “think”???
You’ve polluted this board with simplistic, consistently WRONG drivel for months now-taking advantage of the hospitality some fans here have extended .
NOBODY in this thread has expressed even a hint of disrespect for High Point, but being the butthurt Indinia douchebag you are- you couldn’t resist.
Why anyone would think you have anything interesting or informative to offer this board is beyond me.
Merely the latest in a long line of Hoosier stupids who get their rocks off by annoying BIg Brother.
“Ignore” and good riddance, Wrong Shot….
Not trying to get involved, but couldn't you have done the same? This is an opinion board. If you dont agree with his opinion, just ignore and move on.
I actually think that when we push the tempo we look better and all our players on the floor look to be more engaged. The offense opens up a bit more.I'm right with you that their D may not be good enough to prevent Purdue from scoring which will enhance PUrdue's D since it will be set. However, I have mixed thoughts about a high scoring game since that implies more up and down which I don't think Purdue wants. I only have two of the 3 this week. Pre school and K. And woof... It's gonna be a party everyday for them apparently.I remember those days .. MANY of them (we had five)
He shot sub 40% 11 times this year. Twice against Michigan. I'm not positive what type of defense High Point plays, if any. They have a good coach and it's March Madness(emphasis on Madness). I'm sure Huss has shown that Purdue has lost to a double digit seeds in 3 of the last 4 years and trying to hype them up. I think Smith will have a good game here. I think he will against Clemson(if they get past McNeese). I think he struggles against Houston but Loyer plays well offensively against Houston). It is rare Braden shoots poorly. I saw him do it once in the high school regional...Michigan the other day and another game I can't recall. Certainly he could, but I also suspect he is better than anyone HP has seen as well. Sorry if it wasn’t clear, but please feel free to insert “IMO” on top of the post of mine you are so concerned about…This is an opinion board. If you dont agree with his opinion, just ignore and move on.
