Browne will be a good QB. They will correct his throwing flaws and his athleticism will shine. Problem was is he never got a chance in real games. Obviously he did in practices but I thought he could become really good if given the opportunity

100% agree. Belichick didn’t develop Brady.

If he had, then he would have developed at least ONE OTHER QB.

Instead he “developed” Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe, got fired, and is out of the NFL now.

And, let's not rewrite Clausen's career just to spite the current state of Purdue football. Clausen got an enormous amount of hype everywhere he went, but Curtis Painter had a better college career and comparable pro career.

Oh, I'm old enough to remember. If we're focusing on college, ND went 16-21 during Clausen's three seasons. Purdue went 25-25 during Painter's four. Neither player started every game, but both started most. Results matter. I also know one of those guys had better talent around him than the other.
