Brohm just gave the game away not using the clock...
This is why we need a strong running game. In the bank if we could run out the clock
Well it was nice while it lasted...A very Purdue way to loose
Gus Johnson is kind of a blowhard. I know many love him but I do not. In truth, I think most commentators are useless - I'd prefer they just pipe in the crowd noise on broadcasts.
We could have came close if we just ran it like twice in either of those two drives.
I think it was big time clock mismanagement. We didn’t even try to milk the clock in a quarter where we couldn’t move the ball at all.
They're more disciplined, for sure. I think we were more explosive but also way more mistake prone. If we played them 10 times, I think we'd split or come close (they're just a bit better than us, but it's a pretty even matchup). Honestly, I am pleasantly surprised. I expected some kind of catastrophe.
Didn’t execute four minute offense
Called an inexcusable timeout coming out of a timeout
Didn’t call timeout after completion on final drive
Damn - somebody didn't tell me we were still in syndication episodes.
Hehe... of course that's how it ends... with a whimper. It was a good game, I was entertained. I appreciate the players' efforts. I know it sucks to lose, especially when you're that close.
What is it? 10 straight now to Penn State....too many mistakes to overcome.
Would have been a huge win to start a special season. That's what Purdue does though I guess.
We just can’t have nice things
His coach should have done a better job of using time when he could of so he wouldn’t leave that decision up to a player. I just don’t understand not using any time or trying to get them to use a TO. I don’t get it. We had two drives that took off like 2 minutes in game time.
If you didn’t know that’s how it would end once they punted, you aren’t a Purdue fan.
The best part of being a Purdue fan is knowing what's going to happen before the game starts.
