Purdue vs Ole Miss

Bama, Marquette, Ole Miss, Auburn, Texas A&M - Auburn may be best overall team right now. Great non conference schedule which will only benefit us come March - SOS for a better seeding and experience playing tough teams out of conference. Painter has figured it out. I think we will probably go 3-2 against those 5 which would be excellent.

3-2 would be great, which would actually be 4-2 against high major teams. Maybe NCST will put something together.

Catching scored a career high today with 17 he has been awesome. I wish him all the best.
Today was the best he has shot it. Saw he was struggling a bit, shooting the 3. Has been playing 25 mins a game so far against really inferior competition. Hope he does well too.

Someone forgot to tell Mike Woodson this
Another good reason for not relying on portal mercenaries to carry your team.

Painter can schedule aggressively because he has faith in a core roster group that has played together for 2+ years. He's not molding a team on the fly. He doesn't have to choose between playing quality opponents or giving his team time to come together.

Ole Miss is a team that likes to get it inside. Wear you down with physical play from a very old team. Rebound well. They are good at our weaknesses --- be a great test to see how we have improved our weaknesses....or not?

I watched the last 5 minutes of regulation and then the overtime and he was far from awesome. Though 17 is pretty darn good. In the time I saw he didn't do anything but stand at the 3 line. Threw up 2 or 3 prayer 3's that all missed. Dropped his shoulder into a guys head on a pick attempt (called for a foul) and dropped the guy. Next time down court he stuck his ass WAY out trying to hit a guy running by him but missed.
Seemed like a true and total douche'bag. Didn't see much game in the little time but he is very long and can shoot over most everyone. Happy as F he's not here. But he certainly wouldn't have taken minutes from Myles or Cam.

I agree. I watched the entire game with my focus directly on him. I'm not impressed. He would have been expected to play an entirely different game at Purdue. The entire game he just stood around the arc looking for an open 3. I don't remember him ever dribbling with the ball. I don't think he has that game whatsoever. Doesn't appear to be good with the ball and doesn't move particularly well laterally. Didn’t ever see him play any defense. Just appears lazy on the court and gives off the entitled vibes. Definitely couldn't see him taking mins from Heide if he was at Purdue this yr.

Looks like BYU is waxing the NCST team......and we face the team that beat them. Should be a challenge.
