I’ve told my wife multiple times that I don’t get how these women VB players can be smiles, energetic and encouraging after every good and BAD play. It’s all smiles and high fives. I’m like….if we just screwed up…or I specifically screwed up…I’m pissed and keep my emotions to myself and get focused on the next play. No high fives or hugs when we need to focus hard!

I agree Carr and Meyers were good players and can readily be replaced through the portal.

I’m betting Eva goes to Nebraska and Chloe to Penn State. Both want to chase a National title. I think Eva bailed first. Chloe realized that I’m not going to win by myself and decided I need to find a championship team like Eva.

Lizzy is Eva’s best friend. If Eva’s gone then I’m leaving to go to KY to be with my brother at least for a while. Meyers…don’t know. Rumor is that she followed her boy friend north.

We need Middles bad - only have 2 on the roster and 1 being a rather unpolished true freshman. With the 2 transfers and 4 incoming freshmen - we have a roster of 14. We had 17 on the roster the last two seasons. So 2-3 more with possibly 2 more MBs.

So, 3 of the 4 have announced where they are going. Good riddance. That said, would players in this day and age, tank a game? Not saying this happened, but one transferring to the school that pounded us and playing so poorly without the normal enthusiasm, skill, and delivery, can make fans wonder. How long did the 2 top players know what they were going to do and to whom?

Do you think it happens in college sports? If so, is it now a money game, they play?

I don’t think they would do that, I think the poor performance might be why they left though, maybe they figured if you can beat them join them? Purdue would have had a good team next season, likely not a Final 4 team though, likely not one anywhere better than 4th in the Big Ten, Shondell hasn’t shown he has what it takes to bring Purdue to that level. I looked at the portal players he brought on, they seem fine, likely a tier or possibly more below that what they lost. He should go after the IU player that just left.

I agree to an extent, but we can't say it wasn't in any thoughts. We HOPE these things don't happen, but it is such a changing environment out there.
