Both Maddie Schermerhorn (her 2nd Defensive Award this year) and Eva Hudson (her 6th Freshman Award and 9th overall this year) got B1G Players of the Week Awards.

Eva Hudson, Purdue

In the Landfair/Hudson battle for leader of kills/set, Eva has fallen behind as she "only" averaged 3.375 kills/set this week. Season stats show Landfair (Minnesota) at 4.54 kills/set while Hudson is #2 with 4.42 kills/set.

Maddie Schermerhorn leads the league in digs/set at 4.51 with second place going to Michigan's Grant at 4.33/set.

Well deserved!

Schermerhorn was throwing her body all over the floor and coming up with some crazy digs.
I think Hudson will really benefit from Ellis and Chinn coming on.

three more weeks in B1G season? Do they give B1G awards during the post season? Hudson could at least tie Redke.

Looking at last year’s awards it looks like they end after Thanksgiving so I guess they only give weekly awards for the regular season. :(
