In a DOGE-like effort, Purdue will announce that Purdue's own Matt Painter will be the new head coach of both Purdue Basketball and Football programs.
"This will bring greater synergies between the two clubs elevating our 'basketball on grass' and 'football on wood' mentality that Purdue is traditional known for, said new HC Matt Painter.
IndyStar Sports writer, Ima Dorkus, comments, "this is the out-of-box thinking that Purdue needs to compete with traditional football blue-blood programs such as Indiana Univ."
Purdue Exponent has learned that HC Painter is set to bring in other Purdue coaches to further enhance the cross-department effort: Wonens Volleyball for DL; Wrestling for OL, Women's Basketball for WRs; and Baseball for DBacks.
Will this approach work? Purdue Athletics Director said, "he'll, it can't get any worse." As of this writing, three 5-star multi-sports athletes have committed to Purdue. And, MSU's Maliq Carr just entered the transfer portal.
