Besides the staff being atrocious in my opinion I cannot believe how awful guys can be in this department
The inbound pass defense under basket has been horrid past two years
The amount of points given up off opposing timeouts and sets being run is unreal
The ability for a team to recognize the press that's been used 7 times by Illinois and not have a plan to break it with 4 timeouts,
I mean after games Painter refers to plus/minus, which is a stat for morons.
The whole play hard and limit turnovers helps, but you need to be prepared in all facets.
i remember even in his heyday we fell for the Izzo jump ball play and I thought to myself he gets non conference small schools with it all the time.
I just do not understand, if we're such a cheap school maybe use some analytics with all those kids taking 4 years math to help the 3 star players.
