Purdue Ranking History

With Purdue's current ascension in the rankings, I thought it would be a good time to recap our ranking history over Painter's tenure.

Purdue's highest ranking is currently #3 set by the 09-10 team and the 93-94 team.

Painter has had some pretty good groups. As the baby boilers group faded away, so did Purdue's ranking as Painter could not follow up the recruiting efforts from '07. Starting last year, Painter has created another talented group by bringing in solid recruits mixed with excellent transfers to see Purdue's rank beginning to rise once more.

I'm excited to see how this season plays out!

We were a trip to Minny away from #1. We set at #3 and #1 and 2 lost. We beat Minny but lost Robbie.

We were ranked #2 for a bit in 87-88. Temple was #1 and had lost earlier in the week and all we had to do was beat IU at Bloomington to be #1.

That didn't happen, unfortunately.

Also lost to Iowa State in the non-conference that year while ranked #2.
