Purdue offers 6’6” post in 2026 class

Some initial thoughts on Kearney:

6-foot-6 is something you can’t teach. That size paired with her athleticism gives her the opportunity to be a special talent.

In the clips/highlights I’ve watched so far, she shines on the defensive end. She had several games with 6 and 7 blocks as a sophomore last year. That being said, I haven’t seen her in the low post against someone at least similar to her size.

There is a lot of room for development before she hits the college ranks, particularly on the offensive end. A lot of easy buckets is her offense right now, but could be a weapon in the pick and roll down the line.

She certainly fits the mold of a bigger, athletic post that Purdue has been moving toward in the last couple of classes. She still has a ways to go, but her physical traits are something you take a chance on.

Another note: Was unable to find season stats for Kearney as her MaxPreps seems to be deleted.

Looks like a long fluid athlete. Could be a good one. Hope she decides to commit before the big dogs come sniffing around.

How many bigs do you need on a team? Puryear, McCarthy, K. Reynolds, Gordon, and now another 6'6" girl we are chasing? How about an athletic SF that can score at all three levels?
