Looks like he cut UConn, Syracuse, and Maryland. Schools remaining = Oregon, Seton Hall, Purdue, Kansas, and NC State. Most think he will end up at Oregon, but maybe Painter can make something happen. Better to still be on the list than not.
Yes. He played on the U19 team. Believe Lutz is the one leading the recruitment here.Is he the one that played with Carsen? Bring him home buddy!!
I think this also shows that CMP is a much better recruiter than some on here think. He has Purdue hanging around enough with some of these high profile players that it is only a matter of time until they start going here more often than not.

Most recruiting folks online have been saying that on Twitter.Hey, what's your source? Not calling you out, just curious.

If he is down to five schools, I'd have to imagine Purdue gets an official. They are allowed to take 5 officials and as many unofficial visits. Unless someone comes in late and sweeps him off his feet or he has taken one already to one that isn't listed....have to imagine one is already lined up or at least in the works. Most recruiting folks online have been saying that on Twitter.
Still think we have a shot if we get him for an OV
I wasn't aware of Taylor's word out east, but if true...that is greatI think there are many factors at play here influencing us to still be in the mix:
1) V. Edwards graduating but showing that a 3/4 plays a vital role in the Purdue system.
2) Familiarity with Boogie from U19 team.
3) J. Taylor.....his passion for Purdue and his story while at Purdue he is relaying to the young men from the Northeast (Wheeler and now King) that Purdue invests in its young men and becoming part of Purdue family is not just some recruiting BS but a positive for life and he can put value in becoming a Boilermaker.
4) Purdue's recent success with a very bright future.
5) Then the obvious stuff..academics, solid coaching staff, great young men on team all add up to a positive.
Those are my thoughts.....
Thought he took an official to Oregon already and believe they have an in-home this week.If he is down to five schools, I'd have to imagine Purdue gets an official. My thought exactly. If Purdue can get an official visit and he is truly considering all 5 programs, I have to think that Purdue has a chance. Obviously, Oregon has been considered a leader and you can't rule out Kansas, but I like final 5 a lot more than final 8.If he is down to five schools, I'd have to imagine Purdue gets an official. Very few recruits take advantage of the 5 official visits they are allowed. If he is down to five schools, I'd have to imagine Purdue gets an official. I would. Free trip and swagVery few recruits take advantage of the 5 official visits they are allowed.
I read it as his AAU coach was comparing him to Pippen. If that's his skill set, I can see why he might see the potential of taking Vince Edwards's role as an attraction to Purdue. That an the Carsen Edwards relationship might be helping Purdue. Still, it does sound like Oregon will be hard to beat. From the his article, Oregon is telling him he is Scottie Pippen -like and he will be the centerpiece to what they are building. If he wants to hear that kind of stuff from a coach, I don't think he will hear that from Painter.

an interesting collection of teams. looks like he eliminated the East Coast and New England.. one school per conference.
I see positive things here. Even if we are not his final choice. we are his final choice of BIG 10 schools.
