I drove down to Holloway Gymnasium this afternoon to watch Purdue beat Loyola 3-1 in a spring volleyball game.
4 of Purdue’s players did not dress for the game: Allie Shondell, Ryan McAleer, Dior Charles and Akasha Anderson. Anderson had her arm in a sling. I heard she had shoulder surgery. Did not hear why the other 3 did not dress. Lindsey Miller dressed but did not play.
Julia Kane was the libero. The other back row players were Rachel Williams and Sienna Miller. The middle blockers were Morgan Williams and Bianka Lulic. Ouside hitters were Kenna Wollard, Nataly Morovec and Addy Tindall. Opposite was Grace Heaney. Setter was Taylor Anderson.
Morovec looked pretty good hitting, but the one who really stood out was Kenna Wollard. Tindall also got in some nice hits. The 2 middles need to work on their timing.
One thing I noticed was that the serving overall lookrd pretty good.
Also noticed that Heaney had a harness on her left shoulder between sets 3 and 4. She played set 4, but was rubbing her shoulder on her way to her spot on the court.
There was also an earlier game between Purdue and Miami which Purdue won 3-0. My friend who watched the Loyola game with me, had also gone to the Miami game in the morning. He said Moravec looked very good in that game.

Thank you very much for the update. I'm curious as to who the primary servers were for the games. I guessing Anderson, Rachel Williams and Kane were almost always in the rotation, but who else stood out in their serving or served a lot? I wish they would post a box score for these games.

Kane and Wollard seemed to do pretty well serving.

If Loyola is as good as they have been in recent years, that was a very nice win for the "new" Purdue team.
It will be interesting to see how this team looks in the fall when they are (hopefully) at full strength, and have also had more time to play together.
