Wright’s impact on opponents that this year chose to double cover Rondale Moore. Wright, the 6-2, 205 WR from Louisville is shown here in highlights running and throwing from the Wildcat, returning kicks, catching passes and dominating the opposition.

Gonna look outstanding in black and gold. I’m surprised how many HS fields are now field turf. HS football has sure become big business.

When you consider that Purdue led the BIG this year in plays over 20 yards, over 30, etc., just think how that will continue or even increase in the future with all of this WR talent rotating in, and assuming the big uglies can sustain their blocks for a reasonable time!

Holy cow.

This Purdue offense is going to look like a video game.

Wright, Bell, Moore, plus out TEs. Then factor in King who can impact a game with 8-15 carries in a game. They won’t be able to crowd the line or double Moore without risking getting recked deep. Next year is going to be fun! Even more with the fact that if Purdue can constantly establish early leads, GK is going to feast. It will probably be Barnes and GK off the edges giving Purdue a pass rush they didn’t have at all last year.

The defense should take a huge step forward and the offense should take a step forward as well, just by having more weapons. Fuller and King should make for a very interesting backfield tandum. Sindelar will have so many weapons that will be getting 1v1 coverage. There will be a lot of expectations for next year. It should be a blast.

We will have a good plan until we get punched in the mouth. Hope we develop some toughness in the trenches

I am not sure how much time they will see next year, but Jornigan and Holstege are going to bring a toughness/nastiness that Purdue hasn’t seen in a while. Even if those guys don’t contribute right away, Washington, Beach, and McKenna all should be very good next year. Being able to stretch the field will really help the OL too. The opposing team won’t be able to stack the box as much, double up Moore, or cheat up on the line in 1 on 1 coverage. Weather will likely still affect games, but not like it did this year. Essentially all the opposing team had to do was stop Moore. It will be much different with all the incoming weapons. Wright and Zico were serviceable, but don’t compare to what Purdue will have next year.

Damn, there were some plays in that reel that made guys on D contemplate their life choices. That kid will steal your soul and have it for a snack at a later time of his choosing.

I hope we can keep our Louisville WR pipeline going by getting 2020 Izayah Cummings from Male HS. He is 6'3", and a top 10 KY prospect. He is 3 star right now, but I say he will end up as a 4 star when all is said and done.

Are you concerned at all about the OL? Your team loses 7 of the two deep players to graduation.

Barron - 3 star - .82
Edwards - 3 star - .81
Swingler - walk on - unranked
Shane Evans - 3 star transfer from NIU - .82

Replaced by
Beach - 3 star - .82 RSF
Stickford - 3 star - .83 RSF
Washington - 3 star - .81 RSF
McKenna - 3 star - .86 RS
Bramel - 3 star - .85 RS
Miller - 3 star - .83 RS

———————————————

McKenna is the youngest in that group and he enrolled early. I just don’t see how anybody can do anything other than expect the new guys to step right in and do well. They are replacing 2 transfers and a walk on. Purdue will have much more depth and competition than recent years. The OL has the potential to take a big jump forward.

Not to mention the ‘19 class
Jornigan - 3 star - .86
Monnot - 3 star - .83
Holstege - 3 star - .83
Craig - 3 star - .83

Of the ‘19 class, Jornigan and Craig have the size, strength, speed most likely to contribute right away.

Next year should be fun, but 2020 is the time to truly strike. Really hope we have one of the young guns ready to sling that ball and control the offense. D should also be primed up with experience and ready to ball.

Could just as easily be Sindelar’s 6th year, which would be preferable to having a 1st-year starter...

Of course not. Our coaching staff seems unconcerned. They did not recruit any JC’s. They may or may not consider a graduate transfer and that will likely be after they evaluate any needs in spring practice.

Good summary sounds like they won’t miss a beat.

Look Barron is good and a potential NFL football player so I get the concern yet Victor Beach has been growing mentally and physically for the last two years. He is waiting his turn and soon will be his time. No concerns for him or the rest of that incoming line.

I’m a bit concerned seeing that none of these young lineman have even broken the two deeps.

Beach has been listed on the 2-deeps as a RS FR.

McKenna, Bramel and Miller are true FR redshirting this year, if memory serves.

That leaves only Stickford and Washington available to be (but not) listed on the depth chart.

I wouldn't sweat it right now.

Glad you feel so good about it

Nowhere did I indicate my "feelings."

Every year poses new challenges . . . filling "holes" . . . finding someone (many "someones") to step up.

I'm just not going to fret about it right now.
I guess I misinterpreted the video game comment.
