Boiler Upload’s staff predicts the outcome of tomorrow’s game, with the help of you all and former Purdue RB great Kory Sheets.

Boiler Upload Subscribers Prediction: Purdue wins by 7 or more points.

The subscribers of Boiler Upload were polled on how they thought Purdue’s first game will go, and make their beliefs very clear.

Just over 62% of subscribers have Purdue winning by 7 points or more, with the remaining voters predicted a Boilermaker victory by 6 or less points.

Kory Sheets: Purdue 24, Fresno State 16

“I’m always going with the home team, so Purdue. I’m looking for Devin [Mockobee] to show out, step into the light and let everybody know this is his year… Hudson Card, I’m looking for him to show out and show that he’s the big man on campus and this is gonna be his team.”

Kyle Holderfield: Purdue 27, Fresno State 17

The offense struggles with the stingy Fresno State defense, but still manages to score three touchdowns, two on the back of Devin Mockobee. The defense, in its debut, rocks the Bulldogs' young offense.

Travis Miller: Purdue 24, Fresno State 21

I think Purdue pulls this one out, but barely. Fresno State is a very solid program and they will not be intimidated. They are still breaking in a lot of new offense pieces, however. I think this is going to be very close going into the fourth quarter with Purdue winning.

Casey Bartley: Purdue 31, Fresno State 24

Purdue's defense will give up some big plays through miscues early but will tighten up in the second half. Card will lead a fast paced offense that gets going in the second and third quarter. Mockobee will go over 100 yards and three receivers will go over 50 yards.

Jace Jellison: Purdue 21, Fresno State 17

Purdue has a tough task to kick off the new season in Fresno State, who isn’t going to roll over in Ross-Ade Stadium on Saturday.

I think there will be a feeling out process for both teams, specifically on the offensive side with several changes for each unit heading into this season. Ultimately, Purdue gets its footing and does enough to get the first win of the Ryan Walters era and Hudson Card shows why he’s been the most talked about Boilermaker over the last several months.
