Purdue favored by 3

Wisconsin doesn't often win in Mackey. Given that they have earned a little breathing room and we (really every other Big Ten contender outside of Wisconsin) need this game to keep our conference title hopes alive, I think we play more desperate and inspired and get it done. That said, Wisconsin is good and capable of winning if we don't play hard and well. I'm not going to flip out if we lose. Should be a good game between two top 25 teams.

Who you taking? I'm usually a pessimistic fan but feel good about tomorrow for some reason.
Purdue is on paper the better team in my mind, and they are the deeper team...playing at home, in a game that they have to have (especially having already lost a game at home)...far better Wisconsin teams have lost in Mackey to far lesser Purdue teams...should be a great atmosphere, and I think the home court makes a (the?) difference.

Wisconsin sux.

A win here could be just what our team needs(mentally more than anything) to make a run at the B10 title

Our last game at home was a (unexpected) loss. Didn't sit well with our young men, so I expect Purdue to punch wiscy in the face (not literally of course). Purdue by 7.

Getting Happ in foul trouble will help. Need to do whatever we can to throw Hayes off a little.

I think this is Purdue's biggest game of the year until it gets into the NCAA. I also think Wisconsin is very, very good, very good: smart, great shooters, patient on offense and defense. This will be a tough game, we are also, when focused, very good.

If Wisconsin wins this, it wins the Big Ten going away. If Purdue wins, it will be a dogfight into the last week.

Wisconsin is gonna make us play well to beat them. We must shoot our FTs well. We don't have to shoot great or even average from the 3-line, but we can't shoot really poorly from threes and have a chance to win. And EVERYBODY must play solid and contribute to the team. Haas must finish at the rim, Carsen cannot go 3 for 12 shooting or something like that; Vince can't stink up from 3's and throw in a couple silly travels. We don't have to play perfect, but we need to play well to beat Wisconsin.

We match up well with Wisconsin. Their guards aren't overly athletic, unlike Minnesota. Dakota, Cline, and PJ won't look silly trying to guard them.

If Biggie ended up guarding Happ for most of the game I think we are in trouble. Happ will get a bunch or get Biggie in foul trouble.
This is a game where need Haas in the game guarding Happ in order to win. If Haas play good minutes today we will win. If will be interesting to see what CMP does. I hope he doesn't wait until Biggie in foul trouble to do this as this will be waiting too long.

I agree that how we handle Happ is a key. Hayes will get his, as will Biggie. Every player has a bad game here and there, I'd just as soon this be Happ's..

Keep Hayes from living at the FT line, stay down when guarding Happ (don't go for all his traveling, I mean post moves) and I like our chances. I will (am) take PU and giving the 3.

Tex: I can see this being a bad beat, but I'm going for it anyway!!

Happ concerns me more than any other. Loved him last year as a freshman. wonder if Haas starts to see if he can get a couple of fouls early. Kinda doubt it since matt typically doesn't change just for changing. Still, Haas could be very key. I think Carsen pushing it and getting a couple of baskets in transition may be a help. Purdue will want to get a few easy baskets...but it is Haap that is a concern. His quickness, running the floor and footwork are my biggest concern and would love to see his minutes limited.
