Merry Clinchmas, everyone. With Illinois beating Michigan in double overtime Purdue is officially the outright Big Ten champion regardless of what happens tonight. Purdue needs to get back on track though after losing four of their last six games. At halftime the Boilers lead Wisconsin 31-27 in Madison.
  • Wisconsin's offense has struggled of late, and tonight they are 11 of 26 from the floor. They are staying close by going 5 of 11 from three. Isaac Lindsay has hit a pair of threes of the bench and has eight points while averaging only 1.3 points per game.
  • Zach Edey is having an uncharacteristically bad night at the line. He only hit one of six free throws in the early going, so it is something to keep an eye on.
  • Purdue also continues to struggle from three, going 2 of 10 with several good looks.
  • Fletcher Loyer is having a bit of a bounceback game with nine points on 4 of 6 shooting.
  • Brandon Newman and Mason Gillis moved into the starting lineup tonight, replacing Ethan Morton and Caleb Furst, respectively. It has paid off for Newman,as he has a pair of fast break baskets off of steals to go with five rebounds.
