24-8 OSU, 3 players with a bucket each for Purdue, Bass, Petree, and Puryear. None of them started. Petree and Collier both with 2 fouls in first quarter. We started out in a packed in zone, so the Buckeyes popped 4 3s to get us out of it. We look like a freaking junior high team.

68-29. I’ve watched for two minutes and this team is clueless. 3 wide open threes from OSU, Boilers completely out of position and not within 5 feet of the shooter. Offensively, can’t get the ball up court. When they do, Swanson jacks up another stupid , rushed 3 that barely grazes the rim

I actually watched for a half, Jones and Puryear look like keepers, the rest well, maybe bench players, McCarthy and Swanson are really slow. I do hope that all return if they want to, however, most are replaceable, it’s a shame a girl like Poole has pretty much had injuries burn her first year, we’ll see on Reynolds, so far not impressed.
With the results we have put up, who is going to want to come here that can replace Swanson et al? We are in the death spiral. Results on the floor are awful, recruiting will suffer, lesser recruiting, lesser results on the floor, lather rinse repeat as we get worse and worse. Gearlds has proven beyond any doubt she cannot coach at the D1 level even remotely competently. The longer she stays, the harder and longer the rebuild is for her replacement.
OSU up 77-35 after 3 quarters. The game in fact is not as close as the score if you are trying to watch it. I honestly wonder if we would be better off firing the coaches and letting the team coach themselves these last two games.
I think we will see worse next year if Gearlds is retained. Mass defections, worse portal transfers, and perhaps a winless Big Ten season.
No idea, few things though, not sure many teams are going to knock down doors to get Purdue transfers, maybe lower level schools, second off, it likely wouldn’t be tough to get a little higher level players than a few players I watched, like watching a Jr High team play the varsity. I got no problem replacing the Coach, guessing she’ll get 1 more year though.
These are the best players CKG could attract. You could give McGuff our team and CKG OSU's team and replay this after a month of each coach working with their new team and it would be a close contest if not McGuff winning again.

Final 98-46 OSU, their biggest win ever in margin over Purdue..... Collier another typical game for her, 1-4, no defense, and not much else positive added. Jones had 11 at the half, and failed to score in the second, Swanson second on the team with 8 points, and no one else really looked to score.
Lombard actually had the worst game, 0-7 from the field, 3 fouls, but 3 assists.

Agree! Gearlds is in completely over her head and has no idea what she’s doing. People made excuses for Versyp for 10 years and most will do the same for Gearlds. How many 35+ point losses does it take?
I don’t know how anyone can watch, I tortured myself watching the first half, team is so slow and unathletic. Good gosh was that UGLY! Jones looked like the only player, maybe Puryear a little that looked deserving of a scholarship.
Watched only about a quarter and a half of the 2nd quarter.. I saw we had a shot clock violation on the first possession. We have to lead the NCAA's in first possession turnovers.

Lastly, just my opinion, but those new black uniforms look cheap. I was never a fan of the gold numbers and lettering with gold outlining. The home uni's are a little better with the black lettering/numbers and gold outlining. If the ladies/recruits like it, that's all that matters, but those black uni's look like a middle school jersey made by allstar.

I like Jones and KP alot. Best upside of current players from my very non- expert view. No idea where Poole and A. Reynolds figure in as their playing time has been limited and kinda herky jerky due to injuries. But I’m hopeful. I’m always hopeful…. But geez this team has been so inconsistent and sloppy that it is no surprise they get run over by disciplined teams.

I tuned in to Tim Newton on the radio for a bit to get a different take on the game - he said Layden was out with an injury. Only 9 players available for both teams today d/t illness or injury.
Any uniform would have looked just as bad today. And the men coughed another big held time lead away down south. When it pours it rains…
