Cam Heide with 6 is Purdue's 3rd leading scorer tonight....Boilers have at least not gotten mauled on the glass, but turnovers are the big difference.....along with points in the paint.
I wonder if he didn’t think he could jump to shoot it behind the arc it was just dribbling in to try to create something for somebody else and then decided he was stuck in the lane. You better shoot it before it gets three seconds.

Boilers had their opportunities.....just not good enough tonight. Heide gets a second straight head-scratcher and fouls out. Some good things from him.

Odd 2 weeks. Possibly going from 7th looking good for another B1G title to possibly going unranked and 5th-6th finish.
I get that Painter trusts process over results but at some point you have to be willing to admit you need to tweak the process a bit.
Loyer was not a factor tonight and once again all three of our Big 3 aren't playing well we don't have anyone else stepping up.

Hate to say it, but if the Boilers don't get things right, they are headed for the 5/6 line real fast.
I'm afraid our "improved defense" was a result of the competition we were playing. We can't stay in front of anyone now. CMP is going to earn his salary now trying to figure this out.

On a related note Purdue AGAIN allowed 42+ points in H2. Not winning many that way.
It's just dunk after layup. Literally any other defense would be more effective than what we did today.
