If we lose to Penn St, we are almost assuredly out of the Big Ten Tournament. UWisc now has 4 wins, we would have to beat PSU and IU just to tie them. Rutgers has 2 wins as does Northwestern and PSU has just the one, over Ohio State.... (WHAT?!?!?!?) So if PSU beats us, they are at 2 wins same as Rutgers, NU and us. HOWEVER, PSU goes to Rutgers to end the season, so one of them will end up with 3 wins. The three 2 win teams will all stay home come conference tourney time. Now, if we beat PSU, then it gets into tie breakers unless PSU then wins at Rutgers to do us a solid favor.

Just win out, and it doesn’t matter who does what

Seasons over in a few days, guessing the players are looking forward to it being done.
CKG seemed to insinuate a couple weeks ago on her daily show that she wants the team to keep playing in some post season.

I'm curious how anyone else feels about this?

Normally I'd say they should keep playing for experience, but with how banged up we are, and with so little to gain imo..

Jones, Layden(hurt), Puryear, have received healthy minutes and gained plenty of experience this season to the point that I don't think there's much more to gain from playing.

Amiyah has been banged up, Poole, Mila out.

Lana and I guess Sophie could use the extra games/practice for confidence.

I understand wanting to end the season on a higher note, to send the seniors out with a better experience.

If they decide to play(if they're even invited), great I'll be there to watch and cheer them on. It just feels a little different than last years decision to play in the post season.

I was under the impression that failure to make the BTT effectively would end your season, but I may be wrong

Post season? Unless we walk on water over the next two weeks to get into the BTT, we don't deserve to even be in a very bad loser tournament. If there is a tournament out there like that-geez, what a world.

Reminds me of Gearlds as a player talking about making the Final Four her junior or senior year when they were not even going to get a bid a week before the end of the season. She has historically not been very good at seeing the obvious about being on/coaching a terrible team.

Didn't we win around 30 games her senior year? I thought her junior year was solid too, but it's been a while.

Gearlds playing career wins -

Frosh - 29 wins
Soph - 17 wins
Jr - 26 wins
Sr - 31 wins
Must have been her sophomore year then, I just remember being annoyed/amused that she was still talking big shit in a season where it was obvious we were not making the dance to everyone but her.
